Made from the fruits of the red cranberry, Cranberry, from Vitobest®, uses one of the most potent natural extracts on the market (Pacran®), with a ratio of 50:1 and a titration of 1.5% of proanthocyanidins. Also known as condensed tannins, proanthocyanidins are flavonol polymers with antioxidant and antibacterial properties, capable of inhibiting the adhesion and proliferation of pathogenic bacteria in the urinary tract.
Studies such as the one carried out by Ester Risco, et al (2010), from the faculty of pharmacy of the University of Barcelona, and the Pediatric Urology Service of the Santa Elena Clinic (Malaga), show significant inhibition in the adherence of Escherichia coli to the wall of the uroepithelial cells after consuming this substance.
